The first international location Whimsy will be pursuing building a new resort vacation property. In this series we will walk you through the why, where and what this is about.
Location
We have secured land located 10 mins from Belize's worst kept secret. Secret Beach is a growing tourist destination with clear turquoise waters and well kept beaches. In just 8 years local businesses have experience steady growth.
Why does this matter?
The Ambergris Caye Belize location has been experiencing a steady annual growth in tourism that only felt a sudden drop during the pandemic. The demand for vacation rentals is growing.
What are we building?
We are building this beautiful series of properties sitting on 9,000 SQ FT of Ambergris Caye land that is just a 10 minute golf cart ride to the coast line. These resort style villa properties that comfortable houses guests in a 2bd/2bth units with additional amenities such as dipping pool, outdoor seating, hammocks, and bike rentals.
Why this particular strategy?
This is a great opportunity as the market in the Secret Beach area is in need of larger units for families that want to be closer to the west side of the Caye. We intend to fill the 2 Beds option gap in the market which will allow more families to rent space that is closer to the beach and all the Belize ocean attractions. Based on the current market data the need for these 2 bed units will grow in the next 5 years.

The Secret Beach of Ambergris Caye, Belize really feels like what Bali was experiencing in it's early days before it exploded into one of the worlds most sought after destinations. This is one opportunity that we'll want to keep a close eye on.
